Diagnostics

Could your pet be suffering in silence from an undetected illness or injury?

When people get sick or hurt, they visit the doctor, describe their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it’s not always this straightforward. Because our animal friends can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.

What’s more, many animals are able to cover up the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

Veterinary diagnostics enable the Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic team to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

Our convenient on-site diagnostic laboratory makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in just a few minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your loved one even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab work aren’t sufficient for reaching a proper diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Diagnostic images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet hasn’t seemed like his or herself lately, don’t take chances. Give the caring crew at Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.
